Have you ever sat down one day and seriously considered that life, as you know it, will one day be over – for good? Think about that for a minute.

When that moment comes, for many people – unexpected – it will be too late. There will be no more time left to go back and correct what you knew all the while needed to be corrected, to get right with God (and I mean, really right) to apologize to someone you wronged, to show more compassion to others. Once that moment comes when your eyes closes to this life as you know it – it’s final.

Now consider this: Do you think when you move on to eternity that it was worth on earth the back-biting on the job? The jealousy in your heart towards others? Thinking you’re better than others who are less fortunate than you are? Using other people to get what you want? The pursuit of money and a luxurious lifestyle regardless of how many people you went and stepped on to get it? The love of money and absolute greed that you allowed to control you? Can you spend the money you love so much in Hell? Can you live your luxurious lifestyle with all of life’s goodies down there? Think about that? Would ANY of that be worth you opening your eyes in Hell?

I believe that if each of us really sit down and consider what awaits us in eternity – purely based on the decisions we make right here and now on this earth – this world would be a much better place. People would not take the foolish chances they now take with their own souls. They would be more compassionate, they would put other people’s needs ahead of their own, they would not be so socially driven where they feel the need for power and influence to the point where others must suffer, they won’t try to keep up with their neighbor’s (the Joneses) to feel like they’re worth something or to ‘out-do’ someone else, they won’t back-bite on the job to get the boss to promote them over others. They won’t do many of the things they are doing now. So many are closing their eyes every day unexpectedly in the middle of the hussle and bussle of their lives and opening them in hell. Those who are there now knows that none of those things they were guilty of was worth it.

Be smarter, be wiser, look after your one soul because when it’s too late… it’s just too late.
