Today’s Wisdom Key

When you have gotten to a certain point in life where you’ve experienced the good, the bad and the ugly, it should take much more than it did before to faze you–‘to ruffle your feathers’–to disturb your peace. Having learned some lessons along the way makes present and future issues a little or a lot easier to handle. Unfortunately, with age, doesn’t always come wisdom as some never learn from past experiences. Make sure that you’re one of them that do.

Today’s Wisdom Key

The fact that God instructs us to forgive does not suggest that the malicious offense perpetrated against us has been unnoticed or overlooked by Him. Forgiveness frees us from emotional and spiritual captivity that can only pull us down. Yet, one who knows God understands that He will correct the wrong and no revenge thought of by the human mind can compare with God’s means of justice. Trusting God is forgiving quickly, forgiving completely and moving on.
New blog for aspiring authors:

I just felt led to write this post today.

I just felt led to write this post today. You know… all of us go through things that are difficult, frustrating and unpleasant. We tend to think that we’re the only ones that know the draining, debilitating effect of pain, anxiety and sadness whenever situations arise that evoke those feelings. However, there are so many people going through things that are far more difficult than those circumstances we find ourselves in at times. I just learned of a loving mother who recently lost her two precious little children after trying so hard to get them back in her custody. Her case was no abuse or neglect situation — it’s a totally different sort of matter than what you might think. In the end, she was bamboozled, deceived and betrayed by the person she should have been able to trust and guess what… it was another WOMAN. This is so disheartening and if you knew the complex matter, you too would possibly be shocked by these events. Not only are the children gone… but are now in a different country from their mother. I can only imagine this single mother’s pain – a woman who loved and cherished her children, did all she could and gave all she could to get them back with her, but to no avail.

There’s so much pain that people find themselves having to deal with and many times the cause of the pain is inflicted by other people’s actions or the lack thereof. And the thing is… we’re instructed to forgive. I fully support that because if we don’t, bitterness and resentment will surely take over and we’ll murder ourselves in that way. I just hope that no matter what people are going through that they’d always keep in mind that as bad as their situation might be, there are others who have to deal with even greater – sometimes utterly unimaginable pain. So next time, when it’s our time to feel the pinch, let’s pray for others who are out there feeling it too. Let’s learn to genuinely care for one another and do our best not to hurt each other for selfish gain or for any other reason. We all have to make it through this difficult journey. If we’d help one another instead of stamping upon each other, we’d find the journey would be a bit easier.

All the best,

Today’s Wisdom Key

Each day, there are opportunities that present themselves whereby you can be affected in one way or the other. The fact is that no one has the power to steal your peace. In order to lose it, you would have to willingly give it away. When you are truly connected to God (which goes way beyond going to church and singing hymns), No human being, No situation can rob you of your peace.

Happy New Year Everyone!

The year 2015 is here and we’d all better be ready for the ride!

I was thinking earlier today about how life is a journey and how each of us was sent here to learn the lessons we need to learn, experience the things we need in order to learn those lessons and to successfully make it to the end. Unfortunately, many people, due to the difficulty of the journey, end up giving up along the way. That’s really sad and I get it. Sometimes, the things you have to face are so burdensome that you can understand why people reach the point where they feel that they can’t go on any longer. Most, if not all of us, have been there.

I encourage everyone to try your hardest to endure the journey because at the end, there is reward. There’s a great reward for those of us who love each other the way we would want to be loved, who help others in need, who brighten someone’s day with a smile, and who approaches and appreciates each day as a gift regardless of the current circumstances.

Press on and be strong. There are always good moments and bad, but if we all keep in mind what was stated in the above paragraph, we’ll do just fine – this year and throughout the remainder of our journey.

Take care and all the best,
