No one on earth is promised tomorrow. Live today as stress-free and drama-free as possible. Strive to fill each day with peace and love with all sincerity. When you’ve arrived at the end of the road, you’ll see that nothing else really matters. Hopefully in life you would have given much good, so that in death only good will come to you.
Trust is something that can save your life or cause you to lose it. Who you choose to place your trust in should be one that has been time-tested, survived the ups and downs and who stuck with you when no one else did. However, even then you must be careful as people are imperfect beings and fall weak at times just like you do. One hundred percent trust should be reserved for God. It is never wise to trust everyone, but at the same time neither is it to trust no one.
If God treated us the careless way we sometimes treat each other, we’d think that He was a heartless God who never kept His word. Yet, we nonchalantly do that very thing to each other and expect God’s greatest blessings to flow upon our lives. If we think they’re flowing now in spite of our ways, the reality of the matter is, things are subject to change. Each of us will, at some point, reap a harvest from the seeds we’ve planted – whether they be good or bad. Every day, in every way, it is crucial that we take inventory and really examine ourselves — or one day wish we did.
If your mind doesn’t have a picture of your future, it will replay the pain of your past.
Achieving one’s dream is never easy. It’s a rocky road filled with challenges along the way. However, those who are not afraid of hard work will eventually find themselves on a much smoother surface – living their dreams, but realizing it’s even greater than they’ve ever imagined it would be.
Having discernment can be a great protector. It reveals to you what others don’t realize you know and shields you from deceit that is on the inside of them past the smiles and friendly faces. Discernment can be your best friend.
Don’t go into this new year with a heart full of worries and frustration. You were never meant to fight these battles alone. Complete self-reliance in hope for a positive change to come creates even more burden since without God, we can do absolutely nothing. Let Him help you along the way; let Him be your Rock as He is the only one who can get you where you really want to be.
