No matter what anyone does to you, do not hold malice in your heart. Believe me when I say – no one is worth that.
After having been dealt with wrongly or unfairly, it is so tempting within our human nature to respond likewise to our offender. However, taking the high road is a much honorable position as it demonstrates not only to yourself, but also to the other person that you will not descend to their level. Be cool, be calm, be assured that Nothing has ever happened that God did not see.
A wise person doesn’t just digest every bit of information he is fed. While listening, he is instinctively examining the source of that information (the person who is sharing it). The way he handles the knowledge–whether to believe, disbelieve, remain neutral or other–depends upon whether the source is a natural gossiper, back-biter, snake, or someone who is honorable and trustworthy. When it comes to information, always examine your source: It makes all the difference in the world.
Wisdom Keys for LIFE – AMAZON
When you’ve reached a milestone in life as a result of hard work and dedication, your sustained sense of joy and accomplishment should never depend upon the “praises” of others. Relying on the affirmation of others concerning the results of your own hard work, may result in total disappointment. Not everyone smiling with you wants the best for you. Believe in yourself and be your biggest fan even if it means, in essence, that you’re your only fan.
Don’t go into this new year with a heart full of worries and frustration. You were never meant to fight these battles alone. Complete self-reliance in hope for a positive change to come creates even more burden since without God, we can do absolutely nothing. Let Him help you along the way; let Him be your Rock as He is the only one who can get you where you really want to be.
Be mindful to have the right folks in your corner. When the wrong ones are there, whether you know it or not, you are on a downward spiral. Good people uplift you. Subtle haters drag you down every chance they get.
