They all took off down the passageway; the captain hollering behind his officer and Dellie. Bruce shortly made an abrupt, right turn and fumbled at the door of a cabin, quickly entered and locked it. He ventured over to a section of the room near a window and cowered in the corner like a frightened child. Keeping his eyes and the beam of his flashlight affixed to the door, he prayed the prayer he saw himself uttering in the dream. Panic struck him as he recalled the events of his nightmare. He was just like that! Hiding in a small cabin… alone. Then, that scent again — the sickening smell of death pierced through the doorway as a massive pile of ashes. Bruce knew, without a doubt, that he had just said his final prayer.

Excerpt:
The yard had a sickening silence around it—one that she had felt inside the house many times, especially at night. There was a light mist in the air as well, which was hugely unusual for that time of day. Then approximately, seventy-five feet near the edge of the property that led into an area of land densely populated by fruit-bearing trees and overgrown brush, she saw Theo advancing.
His white shirt was muddied with dirt and his short, black pants were darted with tiny prickles. He was sweating profusely.
“Where have you been?” Andrea asked curiously. “And where’s Rosie?”
The closer he got to her, Andrea could see that the pupils of his eyes had an abnormally darker hue and the expression on his face was blank and unreadable.
“I saw her walk through the family room and out onto the deck,” he started. “I thought she was just going to sit outside, but after a while I noticed she never came back in. That’s when I went to look for her.”
Andrea was listening intently and watching the mannerism that didn’t appear to belong to her husband.
“I didn’t say anything to you because I thought I’d find her playing in the yard. After I didn’t see her, I went further off into the property to look for her, but I have no idea where she went.” He shrugged.
“My God! This can’t be happening!” Andrea exclaimed, worrying less about Theo’s odd behavior and more about the child’s sudden disappearance. “We have to find her!”
Mira Cullen is all grown up now and has left the confines of her ever-so-haunted childhood home. She and brother, Wade, have moved away to pursue their passions, but life for Mira has turned out quite differently from that of her brother.
After returning home for a family visit, Mira finds herself in front of the old Ferguson house again – a place she has blatantly avoided since the entire life-altering experience of fifteen years earlier. The only thing is…there are new residents now, but not the kind she would have ever expected to see.
Her six-year-old daughter, Rosie has an incredible bond with her grandfather, but no one ever dreams that the little girl has a special gift just like her mother and will be the bait an angry ghost uses to settle a score long overdue. She is in terrible danger, but no one knows it and the love of her grandfather will be tested to the highest extreme.
While you’re busy treating others carelessly or maliciously, particularly the ones you’re supposed to care for and love, just keep this one thing in mind: Even if there comes a time when they actually forgive you, you may be left with only a “shell” of a relationship – if any at all. Forgiveness may be found in the human heart, but the memory of the treatment still lingers to some degree in the mind. A wise person knows this and is careful to conduct himself accordingly.
After having been dealt with wrongly or unfairly, it is so tempting within our human nature to respond likewise to our offender. However, taking the high road is a much honorable position as it demonstrates not only to yourself, but also to the other person that you will not descend to their level. Be cool, be calm, be assured that Nothing has ever happened that God did not see.

5.0 out of 5 stars ‘CORNELIUS‘. “A great read of paranormal suspense.”
…
Format: Kindle Edition
“This is the first time reading one of Tanya R. Taylor’s books and I have to admit, I wasn’t disappointed. She is not new to the publishing world as she takes it by storm with fiction and non fiction genres. Amongst them, she writes mysteries, paranormal romance, religious thrillers, and science fiction just to name a few.
“‘Cornelius’ is a gritty ‘edge of your seat’ tale of paranormal forces, so if chilling, suspenseful, and down right nail biting pleasure is your thing, (with a splash of romance) then this novel is the one for you.
“It has a little bit of every flavor thrown our way with a non-stop reading experience of unimaginable consequence to suit all ages. The author ‘Tanya’ certainly has a vivid imagination using splendid scenery to really take us into the depth of her mind as the danger of darkness seeps through the cracks from another world.
Extremely strong characterization that captures the essence of discovering ‘Cornelius’ and I highly recommend it. ‘
